The Charlie Leather Jacket for Tech-Air™ is the perfect fusion of Alpinestars heritage and state-of-the-art performance protection with Alpinestars industry leading Tech-Air™ motorcycling airbag system. Part of the OSCAR by Alpinestars collection, the Charlie features a removable thermal liner for comfort and CE certified protection with in a specially treated leather main shell, which is washed and waxed for durability and finish, the Charlie Jacket only improves with age.
Full grain leather main shell construction with a natural finish for abrasion resistance, and durability as well as a soft, luxurious feel.
Compatible with Alpinestars’ class-leading Tech-Air™ full upper body airbag system. The garment is designed with calibrated stretch inserts on the rear to accommodate airbag’s inflated volume without compromising seam strength or materials integrity. The garment’s ergonomic design means that it can be worn without airbag system for a personalized fit.

LED display on sleeve indicating airbag’s operational status, plus internal conduit for system vest’s ECU.
Internal hook and loop grip closure plus cable conduits in order to seamlessly accommodate airbag system.

Customer ratings for Alpinestars Charlie Tech-Air Motorcycle Leather Jacket
I do not have the Tech-air Race vest yet so temporarily decided to go with a compatible back protector.
Although it is advertised and confirmed by Alpinestars the Nucleon KR-2i back protector does not fit this jacket (I bought 3XL size jacket and L size protector). The protector way to small compared to the back compartment provided thus it keeps moving around. There is no way to keep it in a fixed position. Seems to be a design flaw to me.
Turned to Alpinestars, got the following response: "It sounds like for your size jacket, the Nucleon protector is too small for the pocket. Is it possible to leave the stock PE padding in the pocket, and then add the Nucleon protector? This will be the only way to keep from moving around. If this works, make sure to have the Nucleon protector against your back."
Even if it would work I have not received the stock PE padding provided with the jacket.
Any good ideas?

This is a nice heavy leather jacket designed to be integrated with the protection vest also by Alpinestar. Though I have the vest, I have not integrated it into the jacket yet. Check your sizing. I am a Medium in Dianese but this particular jacket is an XL. That is what could fit me.
