I bought this almost 2 years ago and it's still my main unit to get from A to B. The directions are excellent and clear, the lane guidance perfect. When matched with the directions on the road, you will never get lost. Two things i wish i had, live traffic redirection (could buy it separately but it's not completely live) and Roadworks Alerts and redirection. Sadly, even when it's updated, the unit still takes you through routes closed at night due to roadworks.

Bought this because a previous 2nd hand one i bought lasted a week. So i decided to pay more and buy a new one. Was excellent for two days then stopped working. I ordered another charger for it and it still didn't work.

So easy to use, especially with road names included and I am really pleased with it. Places of interest are fab if I'm looking for the nearest Tesco or filling station. The eco route is good but, as with any GPS system there is no 'most direct' route, only fastest or shortest. I usually go on the AA website prior to any route to check the most direct route as the fastest can be 15 miles further (but maybe 10 seconds faster) and the shortest takes you down winding country lanes that are unnecessary and maybe an hour slower but only 1 mile shorter. The TomTom Start 20 is quick to recalculate a route but still only wants to take you on the fastest or shortest until you ignore the turn offs and then it recalculates your route with maybe 10 miles less and 1 minute more. With the cost of fuel these days, it would be helpful to have a 'most direct' route which is a mixture of fastest and shortest. Other than that I am really pleased with the simplicity of use.Read full review
Such great value, all with the usual Argos backing. Looks good, feels good. Europe mapping and the speed camera alerts are a bonus and I like the build in suction pad, nice and compact. It does lack some of the very useful features that are on my old TomTom ONE, namely having the choice of how you want get there. I tried it out locally and it was trying to send me down some very dodgy "shortest route" lanes, lucky I knew where I was and just ignored the command. I dread to think where it will try and send me, on the odd occasion that I'm in an area I'm not to sure about. Having said that, It's fantastic on main roads and long hall journeys so generally, I'm well pleased.
I bought this sat nav after having a Tom Tom Rider V2 and find this excellent value all round in comparison. Advanced lane guidance is so useful for knowing which lane you need to be in for the next part of your journey. You can add/remove safety camera locations & update it on your computer for others to receive that information, always handy! It's easy to navigate around to change settings and the screen size is ideal.
