Only lasted 16mths smoked and died and to get fixed under warrantee more messing about just carnt be bothered getting repaired if happens another 16mths later maybe just cheap and what should you exspect from life of the unit. Was a great drill for everyday work use light weight.

I've had a makita cordless for years. The chuck always fails on them after a couple of years( not used as a professional). Now bought another one and find the power very poor. My last one was 18 volt and so is this one but nothing like the power of the last one. Chuck problems and now power problems. Never again
