The album may only be 30 mins 30 secs but it is all gold, no filler! The inserts are just a reprint from the original vinyl notes. Just seven songs featured in the film and six more great songs gave good value to the package. You get all the immediacy of early Beatles style. This is the original first remastering of the album onto CD in genuine mono. The sound is clear with good range of sound, far better than the original vinyl though I expect the purists to disagree! It is far better value than the more recent reissues in mono which were just a way of extracting more money out of the pockets of Beatles aficionados for just a few more photos!!.

Am surprised that I still love this - bought this as an LP when it originally came out in the 60's - never expected to enjoy it as much as I do today. The 1987 CD releases of The Beatles first four albums are still the cheapest and easiest way to hear those first albums in mono. Though slightly lacking the power and energy of the original Vinyl, these were released before the loudness wars and the 2009 stereo remasters, so we have a pretty close to original mix of the first four albums in the original mono without having to spend £250 plus on the mono CD boxset. Essential for any Beatles CD collection, especially if you don't have the budget for the mono boxset.
