you cant go far wrong with Hitachi. Always good quality easy to use and easy to change blades. Does everything you'd expect from a 9" grinder, my only down point would be you need to source the metal/stone cutting discs seperately , which is no big deal , but i'd have bought it as a package anyway, and I would have prefered the quick release...but thats just me...its very good value. Builder I work with paid twice as much for a different make and you really cannot tell the difference in performance.

This is a solid bit of kit at the right price. It is very powerful but not easy to handle in the upright position for-cutting into walls, on this job, you need a couple of shredded wheat before you start. Held over slabs, it eats them like a hot knife in butter. It likes the thick discs, rather than the cheaper ones, but if you want to use a old cheap one as a shim, it will take the lighter disks. I used a diamond cutter on some tiles recently, this was really cool. Good purchase, solid and works well. There is no soft start, so when she cracks up, you are going at full bore. Gloves, mask and eye protection essential.

Well worth the money, a solid piece of kit better than some high priced grinders I have used in the past. I used it to cut through 18" pressed slabs with a diamond blade and it was like a knife cutting through butter! I would recommend this to anyone
