Perfect replacement brush bar motor for our Dyson DC24. It was despatched promptly, arrived quickly, and was fairly easy to replace (consult YouTube for advice on taking apart the brush bar). Our brush drive spindle is older design and shorter than the one provided with the motor, but rather than cutting the new one shorter as I've seen suggested elsewhere, I simply slipped off the drive belt and swapped the brush drive piece with the one from the old motor. It works perfectly. Many thanks!

    Dyson DC 24 brush head motor change.

    Motor arrived very quickly. It was quick and easy to fit, no issues. Motor works as expected and vacuum cleaner back in service. Job done.

    It's good but not perfect

    This motor isn't a genuine dyson part, but neither is it's price, so you will get what you pay for. The last motor lasted about two years, so not too bad that said the dyson original wasn't much better hence a repair. If your capable of replacing this part then swapping the end won't be an issue but will catch you out just after you complete the final bits of reassembly you will find the Bushnell doesn't fit anymore. Just swap the drive end of the motor job done. That would be my only criticism, include a note to mention the modification.

    Excellent replacement. It should be pointed out though it is necessary to shorten the shaft in order for the brush roller to fully seat.

    Brush motor replacement

    Got our Dyson operational again quickly. Requires T8 and T10 star head screwdrivers to dismantle head - just watch video. If using existing brush and it is older model Dyson the square projection on the drive spindle needs to be cut off with a hacksaw - might be simpler to buy new brush at same time.
