We are going to be using this laser printer to print out all our recipe cards, shipping labels and invoices. It is easy and quick to get going this printer working with the network. Everyone here likes how the laser printer prints compared to our old Ink-Jet Printer. We recommend everyone business should use one of these Laser Printer for a professional look.
This HP 1600 LASER printer is fast, quiet and has very good print quality. It is color and the toner cartridges do about 1000 pages. The reliability of this printer is also very good. I asked my local ink / toner refill establishment and they said this was one of the better unit they use and have seen. The size of the toner cartridge is bigger than many of the newer models. It supports both ethernet and USB. The only enhancement I would have liked was automatic double sided printing. I must turn the paper over and put in back in the feed tray to do double sided printing. I would buy this unit again. It was also cheaper than many of the ink jet color printers
I bought to replace an HP 2600 that I had over used for 9 years. HP 2600 hard to find used because they were so dependable. I found the lesser model HP 1600. Basically the same printer, paper feed does not work as well for smaller sizes paper / post cards. The positive is that it used the same toners as the HP 2600. This was the number reason I purchase the printer, I can get a set 4 cartridge for under $70 from Amazon compared to $400 new. After doing research on other used printers and their toner cost, this was still the best financial buy for production. Prints good, other than not feeding post card very well,(Regular paper feed works just fine) its a darn good printer and I hope to get another 9 years out this one.
We have been completely unable to use it. It came with a printer driver for Windows 95/98. Nobody has that now. Have been unable to get a driver we can use. Very expensive piece of junk. And they accept no returns - of course.

I've had 2 of these great printers. They make good quality color copies. I've had mine just over a year, and the quality is still going strong. Buy only Genuine cartridges, anthing else, including refills and the print quality goes way down. Be sure to use a good USB cable, as a cheap cable can cause the color to be off or cause streaks. Be sure to see my guide, in my 'reviews and guides' section on how to extend your ink. You'll add several hundred copies to your toner cartridge life. Its like having your own color copier, at a fraction of the price. Because its TONER and not ink, you get a really professional look to your color documents and photos. Worth every penny. Max Rainet
