Makes slicing beans easy-peasy, you need a shallow and long dish to collect all the beans. Very quick and easy to use, but be careful dismantling and connecting the parts - the blades are very sharp. I cut my finger. A pity you cannot put back in box without taking apart but you need to dismantle to wash. I am glad I bought this.

The pad wouldn't stay attached to the work surface and despite trying other surfaces it just couldn't hold it in place whilst cutting the beans. The product was returned and instead I bought a Westmark bean slicer. It was more expensive but certainly did the job perfectly. Don't buy the Kitchen Craft one.

Works well, but the quality might be a bit suspect in the sense that it's plastic where as the older ones are cast iron, the handle feels cheap, but the price is very good. the suction fixing is good - I'd recomend it at this price. Slices beans perfectly.

This machine was invented by someone who clearly never eats beans nor tried their product. It sticks ok to the surface (granite) and the handle turns well, the blades are sharp BUT the beans pieces are tiny useless slivers not the larger chunks shown in the pic. Also the large base prevents you putting any kind of container under the machine so bits of bean go everywhere. Not worth the money.

I found it difficult to use. It failed to slice the runner beans easily. The knob on the handle was uncomfortable in use. I resorted to using my old very similar slicer which I had previously discarded as the clamp mechanism was falling apart. I am still hoping to find an easy to use reliable bean slicer for my lovely fresh, tender crop.
