This watch fits my 8" wrist perfectly thanks to the ~50mm lug-to-lug distance. After wearing the watch for at least 30 minutes so it has your body temperature, calibrate the barometer, temperature, altitude, and compass. Everything will work great after doing this. Get a pack of Youniker tempered glass screen protectors designed for this watch model to keep the mineral glass crystal from scratching. No need to be in want of a sapphire crystal when you have a tempered glass screen protector that perfectly fits your mineral glass crystal watch. Besides, sapphire crystals can scratch and can definitely shatter.

First, about the price (for which I knock off 1 star).... It's exorbitant for what you can get nowadays tech-wise for about $200. Obviously, the notion "expensive" depends on the individual, that's why I compare to what tech you can buy for the same amount of money. Anyway, I like it. And, I'll like it even more if it lasts a long time. This what I was looking for: Large display of time and date; good illumination; atomic time and solar; durable crystal (mineral) that is scratch resistant and remains clear. I don't know how good the latter is as I haven't had the watch for more than few weeks and I've been careful. (I'll update if anything changes). Well, I got everything I wanted above. Plus compass, thermo, alti. The alti is the least useful feature to me; I haven't even calibrated it. The temp is OK to look at it in the morning or when I pick up the watch; it's pretty accurate, but once you wear the watch, it's useless. The compass may be useful occasionally, and after calibrating it, it's accurate enough for my purposes. The baro seems accurate but for weather forecast I tap my phone or check online. The bezel rotates but I only used this feature with other analogue watches. I don't have a need for this now. The light is adequate, and I changed the duration to 3'' (from 1''). The watch came with "M" charge and after I put on a LED light for a couple hours, it went to "H" (high) where it's stayed. The atomic feature works very well in New York at least. The weight is the same or even less than other slightly smaller watches, especially those with metal casing. So, in summary, it feels good wearing something that looks fine on my wrist (it's a big watch though) and does what I want. Read full review

I love G-shock analog watches that are solar and atomic. This watch is digital but atomic and solar with all the features appreciated by outdoors types. Other than temperature on the wrist being incorrect, barometer and compass are spot on and the thermometer will read correctly if off the wrist for a while. Recent fronts were predicted by pressure drops before weather apps. Large face easy to read plus fits comfortably on your wrist.

First off I am comparing this to the original and other versions of this watch. It has great looks and the functionality is a bit easier than the original. It is NOT a sleek watch, if that is your desire then Casio offers other versions that are slimmer. However, if you want the triple sensor functionality (which is improved in both accuracy and amount of data available) and Atomic clock timekeeping and solar function, this may very well be the watch you want.

The solar charging works great after a day in the sun never gone below high. Love waking up in the morning and the watch is spot on due to the link with the atomic clock. I have several G Shocks but I absolutely love this Pro Trek and have not taken it off my wrist.
