I (did) use for many years, use the BT 'Easicom 1000' an excellent home phone with large LCD display, did everything I needed, but, being 8+ years old, the screens are going corrupt and is getting very dificult to read. This 'Converse 2300' was the nearest I could find for a quality home phone, and it does the job reasonably well, apart from a couple of niggles. (1) no backlit display, (2) no visual indication of missed call event etc., there is a red LED on the phone, but, only flashes with incoming calls rings, then goes off, would be ideal to have it indicate a missed call or event etc., No backlit display is totally stuiped, why not? a small bulb or LED, would suffice. Apart from that, it seems a quality phone, nice and clear audio, has an amplifier works with both speaker and earpiece. ..... Would I buy another? errr.... I'd look around first, but, if you find one at a good price, then OK. I paid approx. £25 each for mine, the original price was a lot higher apparently!Read full review
I purchased this phone to replace a 22 year old BT Relate Phone which had died of old age. I chose this phone as it could be wall mounted like it's predecessor. This Converse 2300 phone is easy to use, has 10 memory buttons for speed dialing, an electronic phone book, caller display and call logs. The only thing I don't like is the choice of ringer tones which are a bit office like, but other than that small gripe, it is ideal.
I have found this phone easy to use, and it has useful features such as quick buttons for frequently used numbers, handsfree, redial, and volume control. It also has an easy to read display panel that shows the name of the caller if they are in your phonebook. It is easy to position on a flat surface with the support legs provided, or it can be wall-mounted if you prefer.

When BT knew how to make products. Nice to use, easy to use, feels like it will last forever. Works well with my home phone line and a couple of headsets I've used with it. Original goes at a review didn't submit - just checking to see if it was lack of words...if you see no more posted, it was! Obviously not. The phone works better than the review system it seems.

We chose this model because it is (A) wall mountable (B) has large easy to read buttons (C) has fast dial buttons (D)Hands free dialling (E)number display (F)volume adjustment This is a great phone.It has a good loud ring.The buttons feel very positive when pressed.Altogether it is a good solid phone,unlike some that look/feel quite flimsy. We would buy this phone again.
