5 out of 5-star topper! A nice compact unit with legendary Bose sound reproduction; a wide 'stereo-space' and well defined Bass - brilliant for listening Live/Concert music. The Radio is really good and can be upgraded by adding a separate Bose DAB module. The CD can also be upgraded with a Multi-CD Player but you will have to choose whether you want the DAB module or the Multi-CD; as the unit can only take one or the other. The compact dimensions of the Wave unit allows use anywhere where there is a mains supply nearby and the two alarm function makes it the ideal bedside clock/radio/CD and probably the most Premium item you will find in the category of bedside clocks! It can easily fill a Medium sized room with enough sound, does well even in large room...making it a good second hand buy, albeit 'old-school'...no Bluetooth or WiFi connection here, but brilliant sound quality; nonetheless.! Very well constructed and designed - convenient to use, for the sound level quite small and unobtrusive. The sound quality is very good - a little base heavy but that seems to be normal for BOSE and means that the music never gets tiring. Overall excellent.

Was looking for a new sound system smaller than existing Sony midi hifi and also looking for built in speakers/1 piece unit.A lot of the options on the market had vertical c.d load which I was'nt sure about, plus there was the sound/volume issue to consider . My partner mentioned and kept on about the brand Bose and when we first started looking I was put off by the appearance.We continued to research for a while then decided to opt for the waveII which we got on Ebay from a seller brand new ,boxed complete with dab unit and docking station considerably cheaper than from official site. Upon receiving we unpacked ,connected it all up and WOW ,can not explain the difference .We played the demo disc 1st and even our cats that normally take no notice went very allert ,were looking at it and pacing past (especially the farm yard sounds!!!)Anyway very pleased went with this option and still enjoying the quality this unit gives ,especially given its size .We are currently exploring the option of using it to enhance the t.v by connecting and sitting on shelf underneath in t.v unit. Also have seen there is a Bose solo t.v speaker now avaialble which we may go for going forwards. Bose is not the best looking product out there and it does not come cheap --however it is one of those things in life where you do get what you pay for.Read full review
