I have only used my Ryobi chainsaw once but during that use it performed flawlessly. I purchased the saw because I have a number of trees on my property, including one that had died over the winter. The dead tree was 8 or 9 inches in diameter and completely dried out. The saw cut through the stump quickly and cleanly. The saw has already accomplished what I bought it for. I also used it to trim the live trees and it did this with ease. I would recommend this saw to anyone needing routine maintenance for their trees.

Great little saw I cut a whole tree and all its branches and it only used 1/4 of its power I had to adjust the chain tension once it took 2 minutes quick and easy again a wonderful saw!!!

I was a bit hesitant about buying a battery chainsaw because of how well and how long it would last. Well I gotta say, this saw is pretty darn good so far. I used it yesterday with a 5 ah battery ( which is expensive but worth it ) and it cut down several small elm trees like butter. A lot more powerful than I thought it would be and chain speed seems much faster too. Of course it’s not a gas chainsaw so you can’t really push it but I did press it some and it didn’t bog down at all, just kept on a cuttin. Great for small to medium sized trees and limbing. You’ll be surprised ..believe me. How long it holds up? Just got it so I can’t really say, seems pretty well built though. The only con so far is that it’s a bit heavier than I expected, of course the 5ah battery doesn’t help much in that regard......good luck.....RBCRead full review

The delivery was extra fast and will purchase from them again. I great saw for a home owner to trim trees, bushes and shrubs. The saw has more than enough power, light and easy to handle.

Recently I purchased a well known gas / oil mix chain saw to cut down 10 dead trees in the woods on my property for around $200.00 (all under 12" diameter) After the second tree that chainsaw was toast. Back it went. I have had great luck with other Ryobi 40V tools and figured for the price, I'd give it a shot. 8 more 40' trees down in a few days and cut into 16' logs. I do have an extra battery which helped speed the process up. I only wish Ryobi made a lithium log splitter! Very satisfied with this purchase....
