I have an allotment with no power supply and the only water source is a trough. I wanted to be able to pump water up to the top of the plot and fill a 110 gal tank. I have a 12 volt power pack used for starting a car in an emergency. I saw the inverter and read its claims. I have to admit I was quite prepared to be disappointed and doubted it would work. I bought a cheap 240 volt pond pump and connected the inverter it is nicely designed and has a multi country plug outlet and a car cigarette lighter outlet plus a couple of USB sockets. To my surprise, the pump fired up immediately. Before installing it I decided to test it out and run it off the 12 volt power pack for 3 hours in my fish pond it pumped 3500 liters of water in that time and I think it would have been good for around another 12 Hrs on a single power pack charge. The unit did not even get hot and performed just great. I would recommend it absolutely and still cannot believe it works so well. Definitely my favorite gadgetRead full review

I bought this to power a dirty water pump (450w?) via a 12v tractor battery. Rather than a 1500w Inverter as described, I received a 2000w! Not had it long, dug a well, pumped about 600 gallons, height about 12ft, approximately 3/4hr, battery has not needed recharging yet. For this application, ie one not needing a smooth sine wave power source, it has worked a treat. Cheaper, quieter, lighter and less cumbersome than a petrol generator, and better than hand baling with a bucket on a rope! Thus far, it has proved to be a good buy.

Well made, could do with some mounting brackets, a little noisy with the fan running full wack continuously. I would not rate this as able to provide 1500 Watts at any given time. It appears to be able to handle about 500 Watts continuously fairly well. It does not get hot. It has plenty of circuit protection. I had my Desktop/Monitor/Printer/ Router, and flex light (12 Watt led) all running. 9 amps draw max, from a 12 Volt supply. No issues. On longevity I can not advise. Looks good so far. A Lot of kit for not a lot of pennies.

Pleasantly surprised with the i-power inverter. Build quality seems to be very good. Powers all my tools such as a hammer drill etc from a leisure battery with no issues. Based on this purchase I then ordered the (more expensive) pure sine wave version to run some sensitive tools that can't run from the modified inverter. Overall very pleased and impressed so far.
