This is the only printer type, (HP model F2480) that I have used, so I guess that I am a bit biased to this model. My first printer of this type gave up the ghost after 20 months (a busted cog wheel and strange noises). And as usual this model is now obsolete. But it did all that I required and is nice and compact. I went for a second printer of this type because, as fate would have it, I had just purchased replacement ink cartridges for the first one when it decided to get very grumpy and turn up it's toes. Other models of printers using the same type of ink cartridge did not appeal to me due to physical size and space requirements. The replacement printer I obtained through E-Bay, brand new and still in it's original unopened condition. It is connected and working very well. It does all that I require and it is a neat and compact unit. Maybe, once that I get into the Big Boys League, I will change my printer for a more sophisticated type, but we will see. It is a pity that this model is now obsolete. For a first time user it is simple and straightforward in it's operation, easy to load with paper and to change the ink cartridges - Simples!Read full review
it does all you want and quality of pictures are outstanding as long as you use hp inks all other work you can use remanufactured cartridges makes it very cheap to use, just remember quality use genuine hp ink cartridges all other work anyone. the quality of reproducing photos through the scan-print side is quality as well as you can select just a part and enlarge or reduce not much more to say except BUY ONE AND SEE FOR YOURSELF
I already had a F2480 printer, which after a long period of time failed on me, so I knew the product, I also had several new inks, so wanted to keep to the same model. I like the ease of use of the model, and its output. The only thing I didn't like is the flimsiness of this particular model it isn't anywhere as robust as the original I purchased. This product compares will to others, the price was very reasonable. The only thing I don't like is the cost or original ink.
Why? Old HP needed replacing and dimensions met my need. Like/dislike? Good quality reproduction, but ink cartridges too dear. Comparison? I'd just bought a Kodak which was bulky and unreliable. Recommend? Yes but with warning about cost of cartridges.
Having already owned this printer myself so I chose to purchase one for a friend as it's been the best one i have add. Easy to use & hasn't let me down like previous printers. The price i paid was excellent value for money.
