Quality product. Keeping the lights on in an off grid garage

The 20w solar panel is great quality and is clearly well made. It feels solid and robust and I expect it will last for several years. It’s already been subjected to a lot of rain for a few days and no problems resulting. The charge controller works as expected and was easy to set-up. I checked it with a multimeter and the built in screen is accurate enough for overcharge risk not to be a concern. The battery hookup cable is a nice thick gauge and the crocodile clips are well insulated and large enough to clamp onto a car battery with ease. I hooked it all up the day after I received it to test and placed it flat on the lawn, even at 7.30pm on a miserable June evening there was enough light to start charging an old car battery. When I next checked it the next afternoon the battery ...

  • Works better than expected.

Got this to charge a 7Ah sealed lead acid battery which powers a wireless camera and video transmitter for CCTV purposes. Pretty impressed by how little time it takes to charge the battery after a night's worth of power consumption: my camera consumes 160MAh and after 9 hours of darkness and it only takes about 3 hours of daylight to top the battery up again. Tied in with my other mains powered CCTV cameras which feed into my web DVR, I've now got reliable power for a video camera in a location where mains power isn't available..

  • Good quality, well priced 20W solar panel

I have been impressed by how good this 20W solar panel is considering the low price. I don't have a 12V battery yet, so I bought a cheap 12V to 5V buck converter which connects to my usb powerbank for charging. It works best in direct sunlight as you would expect, but I have mostly kept it indoors behind a window and it still charges at a slower rate but does the job well. In strong sunlight you get a charging speed similar to an equivalent 20W charger, but in the UK we rarely get days where you can depend on that kind of constant charging speed. On a decent day I can get my 10000 mAh powerbank fully charged which will charge my mobile phone twice which isn't bad at all. If I had the space for a larger more powerful panel, then charging times would obviously be quicker but for my usage I ...

  • Better than good.

Fantastic solar panel fitted in Jan dull snowy conditions but still charging battery to 12.8 and above this is defo the best way to go but with a charge controler you do need to have a battery conected all the time so i used a spare 12v batt hard wired to controler then crock leeds to the bike. Chucked my first cheap one in the bin. Happy Bunney.

  • Good product

Product was fine like the first one I hour but for 1 thing the wiring harness looked awfully ugly electrical tape used and small croc clips not large ones like on the first looked like it had been thrown together as a rush job not happy with that product is good tho
