This item, as the title says IS a genuine Ryobi battery. The battery arrived in the makers packaging and took a bit of time to get it opened. The battery showed all the signs and makers marks to show that it was a genuine Ryobi battery, it also had power in it but not enough to complete any hard task so it had to be charged up. The battery finally had a full charge and held it which was pleasing because I had a big job coming up and I needed something reliable, and reliable it was. I found nothing wrong with this item, it fitted just the way it was meant too into all of the Ryobi tools I have. It was to me one of the best buys I have made in a while and it should be your first port of call if you require similar.

Bought it as the second battery for my 18V cordless drill. Although only 1.3Ah it's perfectly adequate for domestic/hobby/DIY jobs. It's lightweight which allows you to reduce fatigue while drilling overhead. As with all Ryobi products, the battery is very well made and will probably last many years

This battery is very good as it will run a power drill etc for most jobs without needing to change or charge the battery. The 4AH is better as it has LEDs showing the state of charge so you know whether it needs charging before a job. In the case of the smaller 1.3Ah battery I would always have a charged up spare.
