The basin waste is good quality and the plastic seals that are supplied work ok, but as with most wastes there is a problem with sealing the thread. It's important to use Plumber's Mait putty, or PTFE tape, along the thread before placing on the nut and tightening it to avoid leaks. Also the brass nut supplied is rather shallow, and if like me you are fitting the waste in a vanity unit where access is not easy, then you'll need a special tool to tighten the nut adequately. A simple wrench is not suitable. You need a box spanner. The size across the flats of the brass nut is 45mm. This is smaller than black plastic nuts supplied with other basin wastes that are typically 52mm across the flats, so choose the right box spanner if you buy this product!

this item arrived very quickly and is of good value very well made and a perfect fit into the basing, had to cut some thread of the waste length as the basin was not that deep ,no reflection on the waste however, very pleased with the outcome, this is a quality product, and the price for what you get is amazing, highly recommend this product.

Good quality flip waste. The flip centre piece has a circular washer which ensures a good seal stopping water leakage from the basin. Both nylon washers fit well being fairly tight to the waste. The nut is brass but is fairly small. From experience I would prefer a nut with a larger flange ensuring a better seal. Like many people in the trade i fit larger plastic nuts which are purchased separately.

Bought this to replace a pop-up waste. These are so much easier to keep clean. Seems good quality.
