Better fit than the original!
Initially I was very wary when I first received this item as it didn't state it was compatible with my Dyson DC55 on the packaging. Having easily fitted it on my machine, though, I find that the wand fits so much easier into the handle than it did before, which is a fabulous improvement as I was always struggling with it before. Not sure whether this is because the plastic used for this hose is thinner than the original but I'm more than happy with it currently. Time will tell whether the item will last. Does the job. But leaks like a leaky thing...
Hose does the job to replace the original. But, fit is not as precise as original. Leaks a bit of air from connector. Also original tools are a tight fit, almost unusable without spending time sanding connector to fit. At four time cheaper than original it is worth putting up with problems. Time will tell how long before the hose splits. Original hose lasted five years. Update: didn't take long for the connector to fall apart. Can be pushed back but keeps falling apart when hose stretched. Suction no where as good as dyson original. Also not as long as original.Hose does the job to replace the original. Good quality, reasonably priced.
The stretchy hose pipe is much better quality than the original that came with the hoover that only lasted a short time, I am very pleased with it and think it will last longer than the original. Very reasonably priced. I would recommend buying this item.
