High quality, versatile MAGIC! OK, so blu-ray isn't new, but add in 3D, networking and apps and the world suddenly expands. The new networking interface is extra impressive and hopefully will continue to expand into areas we haven't yet considered. Meantime, Skype, iPlayer, You Tube etc are worthy exploring via the new remote's simple & intuitive interface. The downsides I've spotted are the Panasonic add-on camera which effectively doubles the price but which works beautifully, and its fat manual which is just useless ... and there was no response from Panasonic "support" on the web!! Yeah, don't think you can just buy a cheap HP or Logitech camera instead - someone locked that gate!! Once you realise that you have no access to the volume controls, you have to think outside the box - I plugged mine into a PC and was able to adjust them there AND (thankfully) they stayed put when I transferred the camera back to the BDT120. Having now put 3 Panasonic devices to work in my "music & video" stack, the variance in box sizes (length & width) creates an aesthetic clash. Functionality also suffers when these incompatible sizes dictate that the deeper units cannot sit atop the shallow depth of the BD120, which also overlaps the others by a finger's width on both sides. Did no-one ever hear of the 19" rack as a standard measurement. To end on a positive note, the unit was a plug & play install that took just 2 minutes. And a system upgrade was waiting for me and worked immediately across the Ethernet link on my BT Home Hub.Read full review
Firstly because it is Panasonic and secondly it does what I need it to do. Being provided with the Remote Control as part of the deal is a real boon.

The most well designed DVD player. Built to last, always been with Panasonic great designs wonderful picture quality, may not be the cheapest machine, but will last you. When I purchased my first VHS recorder was panasonic (still have all of them) always been with Panasonic, Have sent this machine away to have it modified to play all region discs, but blu ray will be region B only. Highly recommended..

I bought this to just play 3d blue ray movies. I don't have it connected to WiFi. As a player it's excellent and has a easy to use remote. Considering its a used machine and a few years old it still performs perfectly. Well done to Panasonic and the previous owner for looking after it.
