This gazebo is DEFINITELY for fine, dry, wind-free weather only!!!! The seller does state this in the advert, and if you're lucky enough to have that sort of weather for the occasion you're using it for, then it would be absolutely ideal! Anything other than even a GENTLE breeze, forget it! We bought this gazebo for my husband's recent birthday celebrations. We had erected it according to the instructions, and tied down the guy ropes securely, but with the first gust of wind, the whole gazebo lifted itself out of the 'feet', that were anchored to the ground. It would appear that the 'roof' acts as a sail, as it would do with a yacht. The gazebo is attractive to look at, once put up. My husband is going to try to strengthen the poles by inserting strong dowel rods, next time we use this gazebo. THIS IS MY 2nd REVIEW, AFTER USING THE GAZEBO. I HAVE CHANGED MY MIND ABOUT IT SLIGHTLY. ORIGINALLY, I STATED THAT I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND IT, BUT HAVING USED IT AGAIN, I CERTAINLY WOULD!. THE TRICK TO KEEPING THE GAZEBO'S 'LEGS' IN THE 'FEET', IS TO SUPERGLUE THEM TOGETHER. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! ( WE ALSO INSTALLED EXTRA GUY ROPES OF OUR OWN ) ANOTHER TRICK TO STRENGTHEN THE POLES IS TO WRAP STICKY BINDING NEATLY, AROUND THE JOININGS OF THE POLES TO STOP THEM WOBBLING! OF COURSE, IF THE POLES WERE STRONGER AND MORE STURDY IN THE FIRST PLACE, I WOULDN'T HAVE HAD TO FIDDLE ABOUT WITH IT. NOT TO WORRY- IT SERVED ITS PURPOSE, AND I CERTAINLY HOPE WE'LL BE ABLE TO USE IT NOW, MANY TIMES MORE. THE GAZEBO LOOKED VERY IMPRESSIVE IN OUR GARDEN, AND WE WERE ABLE TO SIT OUTSIDE, EVEN IN THE DRIZZLE OF A WARM SUMMERS EVENING, WITHOUT GETTING WET AT ALL! WE STILL HAVEN'T ACTUALLY HAD TO REINFORCE IT WITH DOWEL RODS OF SOME SORT-MAYBE WE WON'T HAVE TO NOW!!Read full review

Unless you can guarantee the weather is going to be a perfectly calm, dry day, do not buy this product. It is very simple to erect and looks very good, just as the photo. We erected the gazebo the day before our planned event and were initially very pleased with it. It was a calm night, no rain or strong wind. However, despite taping all the joints of the poles, placing tent pegs in the base of the vertical posts and fastening guide ropes to each corner, we came home from work to find the whole thing in tatters, in a pile in the corner of the garden. The plastic joints at the ends of each pole had not just come apart, they had broken in two. It looked as though we had had a tornado, when in fact there had just been a summer breeze. In summary, looks good, but absolutely no substance and a waste of money.Read full review

I bought this gazebo a while ago in preparation for a surprise party I was planning. I was worried it may rain, but it turned out to be a slight gust of wind and all of the plastic joints split open and the feet that were pegged into the grass also broken apart causing the gazebo to collapse after only an hour or two out of the box. The seller contacted me a few hours after I left feedback and offered replacement parts, so I would be able to use the gazebo again.

After reading a review on here we took their advice and glued the poles into the feet and taped all the joins on the poles, this made it a little more sturdy. Once the top cover was on we added the sides, it would have helped if they actually were wide enough to fit but no matter how much we tried it just wouldn't stretch enough to have both corners done up so had to improvise. Some of the Velcro wasn't very fluffy so kept undoing and any little bit of wind would cause the bottoms to flap up, in the end we had to buy tent pegs and pierce the material to anchor them down, once we done this it was fine. However through the day the slightest wind was now affecting the top and the stitching around the Velcro and sides were starting to come apart, at the end of the evening some of the connectors had snapped so the only place this gazebo ended up was the bin! know it wasn't as expensive as some you can buy but you still expect an item that is going to be used outside to be able to withstand what I call a normal days weather, It wasn't stormy or overly windy yet this gazebo could not even handle that. Unless you are expecting a hot summers day without an ounce of wind I wouldn't waste your moneyRead full review
