Hi, I'm not an expert on Blu- Ray DVD or Hi Fi, but thought my experience at using this Blu-ray might be helpful to others. Firstly, I bought this item as manufacturer refurbished as the recommended retail cost was approx £600. I paid £300 including delivery using the "Make an offer" option and at this price was certainly good value for money. The player was very easy to set up and the remote "woofer" only needs to be plugged into a wall socket and connects automatically to the unit via built in bluetooth. The main unit certainly looks impressive and the eject mechanism is very smooth and sexy. This is my first Blu-ray player and was blown away by the clarity and detail shown in my fist dvd. (star trek) This was a truly mini cinematic experience. My only complaint is the woofer is far too Bassy. Even at its lowest level,I have to turn the volume down as i don't want my neighbours thinking there is an earthquake. In a nutshell then; Not a true surround sound, but a good altenative if you want a compact easy to set up unit with no trailing speaker wires. Not worth £600, so shop around. Too much bass from the remote speaker, but if you dont live in a flat and turn down bass to its lowest level then it should be ok. Looks great, sounds great, and the picture is fantastic. It also incorporates an FM radio, so i can now get rid of my Hi-Fi as this will play cds also Hope this helpsRead full review
