Powerful vacuum cleaner and pretty lightweight. However the hose dies not reach up the stairs and I am struggling to remove the hose from its normal position as its a bit temperamental.

I've been a committed Dyson owner since 2000. They are the best vacuum cleaners ever invented, and I've told Mr Dyson this many times. I own several DC07's and have given some of them away to many friends who say they are the best ever, especially the ones owning "Henry's" that wouldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding.
