I bought these for my computer so I could listen to music & play my guitar along side it too. I know my speakers and I'm very particular about my sound quality. A lot of speakers that boast to be the full package of bass & high frequency noise in one tend to be have a drone base and no mid range which muffles out any quality percussion noise. Bose is probably, in my eyes, THE flagship manufacturer & these speakers definitely don't disappoint. The base is deep but has a punch to it instead of a drone, the vocals are crisp and the higher frequencies all run in ambience with other frequencies making the whole audio experience a pleasure to listen to at any volume, and these can go seriously loud. I have heard a few reviews say these wouldn't be good enough for playing music in a packed room purely as background music but I disagree, these are powerful enough to fill the room with crisp, clear and base for any moderate party, but to be fair I don think thats what they are built for. The pod for controlling the sound volume and switching them on and off is sleek & stylish and so are the very compact speakers, which you would expect from Bose. I bought these on EBay for £100 but I think they retail at £270.00. I would highly recommend these speakers to someone looking for the best sound quality, these are far superior to any 2.1 speaker setup I have bought and remember theses don't have a subwoofer which is great. In theory the 3.5mm jack makes these a great portable device too to being over to a friends along with your iPad with iTunes which you can plug straight up to the pod. Read full review

I know people say often that they are blown away by the sound of Bose or other high end speakers, but seriously! These are by far the best desktop speakers I have heard, they are worth compromising the portability of Bluetooth ones. Stereo effect is great, the volume control dial is beautifully smooth, and the top of this dial is touch-enabled to turn the speakers on or off, a lovely additional feature I was unaware of. Looks personally are great, sound performance is a little bass heavy at times but this could be rectified using an equaliser on the PC or phone, which you can plug in via the dial module. I didn't try the headphone jack as when you have speakers like this, even sennheisers aren't worth putting on! Summary: Brilliant value for money even when bought new (approx £200). Unbelievable value when bought pre-owned.Read full review

These Bose speakers have replaced a decent Logitech set that had a subwoofer. The Bose don't have or need the subwoofer, producing extraordinary depth and clarity from just two small and compact speakers. I am thrilled by the sound these little speakers push out even when turned up loud (and they go very loud).

One of the hidden gems from the Bose factory. The sound quality is, well Bose what more is there to say. They look as good as they sound with the puck controller as they call it tops this system off to a tee. I'm not an audiophile or anything fancy just a bloke who likes top kit and these are that. Chuck in a Bluetooth receiver and you're laughing, a wireless multimedia speaker system.

Best small speakers ever! I've tried a few and concluded that getting these secondhand on ebay was far better solution than buying any other speakers brand new. I now have 4 sets for octophonic projects - they sound absolutely super in a large room. They perform massive job compared to their compact and portable size.
