Best portable printer on the market. Print quality good. Be realistic, it can't compete with office printers for speed but you can't pack an office printer in hand luggage!!

I bought this printer for my disabled wife. It offered portability, versatility, economy and quality, according to my research. I have not been disappointed. It is small and light, works from a battery, lovely printing in high quality and very acceptable otherwise. It has bluetooth, but is used next to a 15" laptop by usb, on a small bedside table. I bought this secondhand on ebay for £52 including the battery but new it costs in excess of £200, excluding the battery. I had to download the required software, including the driver from Canon, but this proved hassle free like the printer. Fully recommended.
Takes up very little desk space and is well made and reliable. Canon ink cartridges are quite expensive but I find that they last quite a long time. Matches Apple computer very well. Doesn't have bluetooth as standard but I am quite happy to use a cable to connect it to my computer. I actually only use it as a desk top printer - the fact that it is portable is a bonus.

I bought this because I needed a compact, lightweight and portable printer for work and it does the job very well. I use it for printing photos onto plain paper as well as ordinary documents. I haven't had any problems with it so far except that it is NOT supplied with a cable which meant I couldn't set it up until I had made another trip into town to buy one. Also, I thought it was bluetooth, but it's not. The only other quibble is that it uses an enormous amount of ink at 12.99 per cartridge. I've only had it 3 weeks and I've had to change both the B&w and colour cartridges 3 times.
Not cheap; but quality, compactness and autonomy very practical when travelling in areas with limited power supply.
