From Thailand, SYNDROMES AND A CENTURY is a drama set largely in two different hospitals. Taking place at different times, two stories become mirrors for one another as they are interwoven. Tao (Nu Nimsomboon) desires Dr. Tei, but is too timid to share his feelings. Meanwhile, at the same hospital, a dentist works on the mouth of a young monk, with whom he builds a unique bond. While the first story occurs in a small town, the second takes place in bustling Bangkok, and explores the lives of the same characters in addition to some fresh faces.

New York Times - SYNDROMES AND A CENTURY, like its curious title, has the logic of a dream....[The film] welcomes you into a world of simplicity and strangeness, The Guardian - This surreal tale of tangled human relationships should be seen by as many people as possible
