So happy with our Pavoni. Have read about lot of reviews about how difficult this machine is to get right but in the age of YouTube this simply isn't true. After watching a couple of video tutorials I'm pulling espresso like a pro. Make sure you have a good quality bur grinder and you can't go wrong.

Ok what I brought was a PL Professional Lusso 16 cup a JDL Jolly Doser Lusso grinder and the BL Base Lusso for Machine and Grinder. This is a brilliant combination for gaget mad espresso lovers. It is hard to learn how to get a good shot and even harder to learn how to get a great shot, but when you get it you are rewarded by the best espresso shot. The Lusso is solidly built and fairly basic as you are the pump it feels really well made. The grinder is also solid but this doser version is a bit of a pain for me because I just want to grind enough to use there and then which means keeping the ground coffee hopper lid loose and raking out the grinder exit hole every time I make coffee, but having said this once you calibrate the grinder it performs well and the grind is very even. Update: I have now had this for 18 months or so and I love it even more, even with cheap coffee beans from Lidl £4.99 per Kg I can make a brilliant espresso or cappuccino. I have always loved a gadget and this is one gadget to love.Read full review
An excellent machine, Has the tendancy to overheat after a few shots. Takes a little getting used to as you are in control of all the variables. You do need a good grinder to get the best out of the machine. I would look for a stepless one. You are able to replace all components on the machine so it will hopefully last a long time. I would definatley recommend if you only make a few coffee's at a time.
