I bought this over a year ago; and permanently screwed it to a tree out at the Salt River.
I suppose you might say, one won't put their crusher through what I put mine through. I grab cans out of the Salt River every summer because the tubers are so messy. Thus, about a year-and-a-half ago I screwed this can crusher directly to a tree trunk down by the river bank. Then, I could bag the cans, and crush the cans right on the spot so I could walk the half-mile back using less bags than I had been using. Since then, they had 13 foot floodwaters, one time. The dam had released a gigantic amount of water about a month ago. Junk was up in the trees 13 feet higher than the normal surface. When I went back to check on the can-crusher area; it was still there, and still worked great, even though the tree had nearly been uprooted. Except for a bit of rust; the can crusher is still ... I suppose you might say, one won't put their crusher through what I put mine through. I grab cans out of the Salt River every summer because the tubers are so messy. I expect it to last 20 years out there as the screws have rusted so completely that nobody will ever unscrew it. it will probably become part of the tree before it rusts-away. If you use a can crusher less cruelly than this? It will probably hold-up for you very well. Realize that you must screw it to a door or very solid surface. If you install it on a plastered wall; make sure you find the wooden struts (if it HAS wooden struts) or add the kind of wall anchors which have the two wings on springs that pop-out-sideways after you've inserted it through the hole. That should hold. Another day, I'll try and get a photograph of what it looks like, now...

Crushing cans
Not really "heavy duty"...the handle is a bit light but does an adequate job so far. Cans don't always stay in position to be crushed and will pop out of position from time to time so you kinda have to hold in place to get started. 3 out of 5 stars for me overall.

With a couple fixes, this could be a great product.
Works pretty well, but the slick finish on the top and bottom makes it easy for cans to slip out while crushing. A piece of 100-mile-an-hour tape/duct tape over the bottom shelf makes cans much less likely to slip. Would probably be better with some sort of stair tread tape on the top and bottom. Needs some sort of nylon slides on side rails; had to lubricate rails after about 100 uses, and now the handle will not stay in upright position.
