Although the original version of this cd was released in the late 80's, I still enjoy it now. Having worn my cassette to nothing, I purchased a copy for me from another source and then one (from e-bay) for my friend, who enjoyed it so much that in spite of it's deleted status, he was determined to get hold of a copy. Some great original tracks and some great cover versions (the most infamous being Stephen Sondheims "Losing my mind")and the bonus tracks are just that. Although as usual they are remixes, they are at least good remixes. The extended version of LMM is pure Pet Shop Pop, with Love Pains, Dont Drop Bombs and the wonderfully orchestral Tonight Is Forever being other stand-out tracks. My only gripe would probably be that I don't really rate Liza's version of Rent and the "Liza with a Z" bit on Twist In My Sobriety is a bit grating but other than that, a must for fans of 80's music, Liza, the Pet Shop Boys, sound effects etc. Ignore the up's and down's of recent years for Liza Minnelli, just listen to the music and you won't be disappointed if pristine pop of the electronic and orchestral variety is your thing.Read full review
