Purchased this lens for 35.00,the description said A/F not working...well the part would be abt 10.00 to buy,,,,# well lens arrived...excellent condition,so took snaps in manual...excellent all round ...yes you lose something when you get this all rounder....but since i like taking photos for pleasure,and know i'm improving..i don't worry about the faults like some do...and the point is to enjoy it,,, BUT the bonus with this lens,the AUTO-FOCUS WORKS! no problem,so either the the person i bought it off has a broken camera,but more likely more modern than mine,and may have needed chipping..E-BAY BARGIN..SO AS MOST OF THESE are abt 100+ 2nd hand...and more than double for new..must be bargain of the year...the test will comw when i trip to india+ new york...this is my third choice lens and so far works well ..bargains CAN still be found on e-bay....Read full review
A lens with a range like this has to be an all rounder. I bought this lens as the perfect companion to take on holiday without having to take 2 or 3 lenses and have to switch them over every so often. Stick a decent UV filter on, especially if you're taking photo's on the beach and you're away.
