I bought one for a fellow band member in desperate need of a bass tuner. When I received it I immediately though uh-oh... this is a cheap one. It feels light and cheap and the "card slot" in the back is pure foolishness. I then fired it up and found it remarkably good; it's very accurate and the # or b lights really help. The "onscreen" dial is neither good nor bad... it's just there and works well. It works via direct input instrument cable, built in mic and it also plays audio tones to tune by ear. This is a good idea if they'd included a switch to distinguish between a 12 string guitar and a 4 string bass... I shouldn't have to listen to 6 tones when I don't need them. All in all a great little tuner and well worth the price... I'd buy one again knowing what I do now.
I like this tuner a lot. It's easy to use, light, and not so expensive. I'm not a music expert so I don't know if it's doing a perfect tuning job, but my guitar sounds good after tuning. I have seen many ones using it, and I recommended this tuner to you who are reading this review. Note: I bought it for a little less than $15 including shipping
easy to use. portable,, and light. Only problem is not being able to see it in low light situations. Item is inexpensive but very easy to read and calibrate. Definitely something every guitarist should have to avoid poor tuning in gig situations.
I bought this tuner because I have had experience with them before. Becides, the name Korg means quality. I especially like that this tuner easily picks up the low B on my five string bases.
Excellent pickup through a built in mic. Incredible sensitivity. Even piced up the tone of my wife when she was singing! Was quick fast tuning capabilty on my Crate 4 string bass, was able to at the switch of one button let my friend use it on his electric guitar. Worked great with perfect tuning the first time!
