Some bird bath are very shallow but this one is really deep although, I use it for food now I think I will use my original bird bath which is small, for food and use this for what it is intended, a bath. I put 2 bricks on the pedestal to weight it down and it seems pretty secure. I am pleased with the quality & colour and think it will last many years

This is my second of this type. The design of the pegs for securing is not very suitable as they pull out of the ground very easily. In an effort to overcome this I screwed the base to a small paving slab which made it very secure but I found that when I moved the bath to enable me to cut the grass the filigree design on the base is a weak point and broke, hence the second purchase. I would suggest that the base although suitable in cast iron is too weak in this design in plastic. The base design needs to be changed and the pegs holding it down need to be of better quality. Can't complain at the price but needs some modifications

It may look alright in some gardens, but for me it really looks tacky & plastic looking. Also it is not easy to replace the fresh water in the bowl/bath everyday for the birds without tipping the whole thing, this is not easy if the stand is anchored down. I was better off with just a simple water bowl for the birds to drink out of.

This was easy to assemble, light but still sturdy and looks lovely in the garden. Would recommend.
