Seems to work OK. Just using it as an adaptor for an old non-digital Spanish TV as the previous Tvonics box failed to re-tune when the channel map changed. This product has no manufacturer's name or serial number and seems to have been made for the Australian market as the instruction book refers to auto tuning Oz channels Let's hope it is durable because the old Philips TV may last forever!. .

The packaging was adequate with short delivery time. Simple connections. I used HDMI. Mains power feeds unit so there is no power brick or adapter. The menus could be better, but is similar to cheap Freeview TVs in appearance. Picture quality is good as is sound. I seem to struggle a little with HD performance. Once settled this seems less intrusive. For the money, it does the job OK.

When I got it I left it on over night as it had a clock, next morning the screen was flickering, would not work so had to reboot it. The screen kept going off , the picture kept breaking up. Then next day picture worked fine, screen began to work, and still is, then began get a loud buzzing, and humming, which got worse as the picture changed, or what advert came on, listening to the radio was pointless then the next day the noise stopped, then last night it started again, this morning it has stopped. This is ok for an old telly you use in a spare room now and again, full time no. Only got it while my telly is being repaired.

Before buying you need to be aware that to record any programs you need to connect a memory stick (not supplied and not made clear in the advertising blurb or the instructions). The machine works as a digital receiver OK but the recording side of it isn`t impressive. It doesn`t indicate how much memory it has and you can easily delete recordings in error.
