Very pleased with this lens, purchased at reasonable price, delivered before due date advised and well boxed and packed. It has its slight disadvantages in that there are minor issues that relate to many macro lenses: certain functions of modern digital camera technology that render this type of lens difficult to command - focusing using the camera's auto-focus function, and having to rely on manual controls for instance - but these are easy to overcome, and the more experienced photographer will know this. One function of this lens I especially like - and it helps to overcome the aforementioned issue - is that gently pushing the front of this lens forward automatically puts you into manual focusing, so switching between auto and manual focusing can be done physically through the lens rather than the camera and without use of the fiddly little switch on the lens barrel. My use of it so far has been to good effect in general, but all of the issues that affect macro lenses can be read up before purchase (mounting the camera on a tripod as standard for very close work, and also in other uses, etc.). My final suggestion is for the potential purchaser to google this lens on the internet and read the many reviews BEFORE purchasing it..!Read full review
