The story of Alpinestars began in 1963 when a leather craftsman named Sante Mazzarolo began producing boots for skiers in the small town of Asolo, Italy. His company later began making leather boots specifically for motocross. From that beginning grew an entire line of jackets, gloves, shoes and other apparel that mixes design and technology to give riders a suitable layer of protection from the dirt and gravel of the motocross track or the hard surface of the highway.

This company offers a wide selection of apparel and accessories, including the Tech line, designed not only for those who race motocross, but also for everyday motorcycle riders and bicyclists. Apparel is made of leather, polysynthetic blends and other materials. Accessories include bags, backpacks, luggage, Celer gloves and timepieces. Below is a short list of some of the many products available.

• Alpinestars Men's Faster Riding Shoes: These cycling shoes are made of microfiber. The heels are lined with suede and the shoes also feature a lace closure system. These shoes come with Thermoplastic rubbers (TPR) on the toes and Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) on the ankles. Lightweight rubber soles use Polyurethane midsoles and textured grips. The shoes also have Ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) anatomically contoured foam footbeds.
• Alpinestars Men’s Atem Leather Jacket: This jacket is CE certified for safety while riding a motorcycle. It is made from 1.3 mm (.05”) leather with reinforced zones at critical impact points on the rider's body as well as stretch chest inserts and cuff adjustments. Perforations on the upper and lower panels provide ventilation. Alpinestars-developed Dynamic Friction Shields (DFS) cover the shoulders for an extra layer of protection. The jacket comes with an inner liner to remove in warmer weather, and a neoprene layer around the collar and cuffs. It is available in black, white, red and yellow, and comes in sizes 38-50.
• Alpinestars Mens Tech 1 MX Motocross Offroad CE Riding Boots: Durable boots of light microfiber offering both flexibility and abrasion resistance, they have steel sole guards, TPU insoles reinforced with metal shafts, toe boxes, and soft foam around the ankle and collar for shock absorption. Made with TPU reinforced calf, medial, heel and lateral ankle protectors for resistance to impacts, these boots also feature a hook-and-loop upper closure as well as replaceable buckles and footbeds. They come in a variety of color designs, and sizes range from 7 to 14.
