This egg cooker is brilliant if you are the kind of person who always breaks eggs in a regular pan. It literally does the same job but with more convenience. It automatically switches off when the eggs are ready and so far none have come out undercooked, so it's safe too. It's really easy to use, the instructions make absolutely no sense but a quick Google search tells you how much water to put in the bottom. It's easy to clean and small so easy to store away. It's also really cute. Makes doing soft boiled eggs for the kids much easier.

my host on a recent visit was appalled at me using the Aga for boiling an egg when one of these was available. The energy saving is massive and, for one egg, no need to time it as the softness is controlled by exact volume of water put in. However, if my wife wants an egg too and much harder than I have it, there is some head scratching - durability and effect of hard water remains to be seen
