There's some good bits to this product, the temperature controller works well and the element is fairly powerful. The weak spot though is the bucket itself - although it feels sturdy enough when cold, when you are in the boiling stage, it becomes very flimsy. Particularly around the power supply connector and thermostat. Mine lasted four brews before the side of the bucket where the heating element goes in became so weak and flexible the element drooped downwards, burning a hole through the bottom of bucket. Cue boiling hot wort everywhere, not an enjoyable experience. So overall, this is OK as a budget buy, but I'd probably prefer a metal boiler for long term sturdiness.
