I got this dvd to add some structure to my turbo sessions rather than just mashing away on the pedals ,it's very easy to follow and certainly keeps you motivated throughout the session ,I've only used it 3-4 times but can feel the benefits already....Good luck

I am recreational cyclist that cannot find as much time to ride as I would like. Climbing is a big weakness for me, so I sought out a training video to use while on my trainer. The 3LC training video is great, and much less expensive than some of the others! It is as hard as you want it to be, yet encouraging enough that you don't slack off, you finish the workout strong. While it is not necessary to have a Power Meter, Heart Rate Monitor or cycling computer, I believe that you get the best out of this video with a cycling computer that includes a cadence meter. The on-screen display is great. It tells you what you should be doing, how much time is left in the set, and what will come next. They even go so far as to remind you to drink! I am also a High Performance Speed Skating coach that uses road cycling as a cross-training tool. I am encouraging my athletes to use the 3LC training videos to improve their cycling abilities, which will in turn improve their skating and racing skills. So I spent weeks looking at different products for my winter training regime when it was just horrendous outside and eventually stumbled across the hill climbing DVD from 3LC and having took the plunge they don't disappoint! The training throughout the DVD is set at a good pace over the hour, and you put as much effort in as you want so there's no need for heart rate monitors! It's all based on how hard you can push and if you want to achieve specific targets and goals these are the DVDs to use! My hill climbing has improved and I put it down partly to these DVDs they get you digging deep, they get you thinking about cadence, they get you thinking about technique, they get you pushing yourself to limits you didn't know you had! If your slightly unconvinced try it that's all I can say, they make a difference, afterwards I'm pretty much destroyed and unable to do much more than the stretches at the end of the DVD! You will feel stronger, go longer and push harder on the road! To prove it I went having done this and bought the time trial, road race and sprinting dvd's and one word describes all........... Without doubt having purchased 2 DVD from 3lc I don't believe I could have achieved 6hrs in the etape Penninies ( Rob Hayles described it as brutal ) with limited time available going on a turbo trainer was crucial and the workouts are as good as you will get, Boredom never set in once and I must have done 30 sessions with Cav Sprint and PK climbing . The banter alone between the Manx cyclists keeps you smiling through 1hr of very hard work. I will be adding additional 3lc DVD this winter just for the sheer enjoyment of cycling through the winter...
