Having been a Tom Tom user for years I was gutted when the One I had expired, BUT I found a Go 700 on Ebay. What a star. No need for the bluetooth headset, its built in compatible with the phone ( HTC Desire ). Bought an external mike, sorted. Tom Tom helped me upload my up to date maps which I had on the One, with all the bells and whistles on this thing I'm well happy. Pleased? I should say so.
My children brought this for fathers day. Their dad having never used one before always used a map book, but since he started using this he thinks it great, the handfree is good the alert for speed cameras and bus lane cameras is very handy. We do have to down load newer maps as some of the roads are different. As he is a delivery driver this was a great buy.
I bought this tom tom because of the extensive maps that were installed, especially the USA. It has the area's I needed, but I will not be able to try it out on these maps till I get there. The GB map is fine. This was the cheaper option against buying from Tom Tom, and gaining a second family sat nav.
really pleased with product but didnt realize how bulky it was as its an older sat nav back is quiet bulky but having said this the bracket is sturdy and has never fallen off whilst in use and its great product for the money i paid! well pleased!
i bought the tom tom 700 as i already owned a 300 as this was excellent quality and had never let me down didnt want to upgrade it but thought i would get a upgraded model ie the 700 performed well as expected on the lines of the 300 but with alot more information alot more of everything to be honest well impressed btu after owning it three weeks the battery has died on it ie it will only work when plugged in so needs a new one and i dont no how to do this so a little dissappointed about that
