This particular Amplifier had a minor fault in the output relay. Subsequently I replaced the relay and voila the Amplifier is now within the original specification and is a fine quality unit.

When new this amplifier is £399. That is too much. It works really well in our computer headed system since it filters out the noise that computers generate. As a Hi Fi amplifier it is just OK. It is fairly smooth and detailed but timing is a bit off with the bass lagging the rest slightly. It is impossible to buy the phono preamp to fit inside it which we think is poor of the manufacturers - if they are not going to make these parts beyond the sales life of the product (only 3 years here) then they shouldn't leave them just as an option! The build quality is so so in places and I have had to replace the speaker relay in mine which is poor at only 4 years old. I paid £55 for ours (without a phono stage) and that seems about right.

Can't go wrong for the price. Pretty decent quality for a buget/mid range model and the absence of a remote isn't much of a problem because any Azur remote will work on any Azur model.
