The product was a good idea, it could have been useful for that awkward lift to get a old clear of the ground for sawing. This particular model was made with a join halfway along the handle and depended for its strength on a threaded rod and a spot welded nut/plug inside the tubular handle. Mine fell apart whilst taking it from the car. I seriously doubt it could have lasted very long even if the joint was properly welded. I think the problem was that the log lifter was too long for cheap postage and the join solved that problem but compromised the product. Jeff

Bought this for delivery to my son as I was used to using a home made one. He reports the handle doesn't even fit together & the whole issue is so poorly constructed as to need two hands to set into a log before it can be moved/lifted. Handle is then so floppy that it just doesn't feel safe to use. If he wasn't 150 miles away I would have sent it back for a refund. Just not fit for purpose!

Instantly broke. Two spot welds at the join of the two halves of the handle snapped as soon as I tried it out on a small log. Poor manufacture, a tad more welding and I am sure it would be good to use. When I replaced the handle they supplied with my own, it worked like a dream, even dealing with heavy logs. Good design, poor welding.
