The aerator works well once the protective plastic has come away, this may apply to my lawn as the soil is very hard and poor, this is why I am trying to improve it. The divots may be a little on the large size but I am sure that with the amount of sand, soil and organic matter that I have filled the holes with it must improve.

If your lawns already of best condition fine, but imformation about how difficult to get this to core is left out if lawn needs more work. Killer for arms even in my wet soil, didnt core every time, compacted. Blunt ends. I suggest one that has gaps in tubes so plugs can escape or a machine 🙄. The whole point is to improve soil, root growth. all i can say it didnt break and its robust.

Bought one of these , I should have looked at reviews for this type of tool , unless you have perfect soil under your turf , it will not produce plugs , even after sharpening tines , you will spend your time trying to remove plugs from tool , as they block easily , you can still push it into ground when it’s blocked but all that does is compact the soil further down , defeating object of tool , makes no difference if ground is soft , if you have a nice garden , get a professional in to do with a machine , you can put the cost of this useless tool towards cost

It is good quality but the tines are coated with plastic. I had to scrape of the plastic with a sharp knife which was time consuming. Then I had to grind the tynes to make them sharp. If the tynes had been sharper I would have given five stars.

nice solid construction, good strong weld, takes a lot of standing on, but that is needed because the ends of the tines have been left with a thick square edge that does not cut into the soil. It has then been covered in a strong black plastic protective coating which has thickened on the end of the tines making it even blunter.
