SO easy to use. Add water, set on the burner/plate, touch the switch and go about your business. Blue light floods the kettle, lets you know it's working. Water heats rapidly, turns itself off when done. It's almost magical. Water flow from the spout is perfect, handle is just the right size and shape, provides a safe, firm, comfortable grip that makes filling even the smallest cup a breeze. Side Note: I'm in the States so I did have to buy an adapter for the plug, around $7, but I maintain that this is the best money I've spent on an appliance in years. This makes me ridiculously happy. Thank you Russell-Hobbs for this wonderful kettle!

Leaky base, seller communication good and could've returned but not easy because I’m paralysed. If easy to return; I would have. Glue visible on inside of handle. My last kettle was £20 in Aldi and identical, perfect working order and appearance thus: I don’t think it’s good value. As I said though: communication from seller was very good and quick: would buy from again but not anything in a “refurbished" condition.

The 360 degree base makes this kettle ideal for left or right-handed use. Clear sides show capacity clearly and I love the design, which is attractive and stylish. The only drawback is frequency of descaling (otherwise limescale builds up in this hard-water area and spoils the kettle's appearance). This is the second order I've made in less than 12 months, though; the first kettle is working perfectly well, but bulbs in the base stopped working after eleven months, which is a great disappointment!

Bought another Russell Hobbs as got on really well with the previous one, had it years and only changed it as the colour had faded. This one boils quickly, easy to see how much water you're putting in and easy to see when it needs de-scaling so much more likely to keep it maintained as we have really hard water! Only slight niggle is that the little filter in the spout keeps falling out.
