I have owned many, many Digital and Film Cameras over the last 30 years and when I decide to buy another Camera whether that be a New one or a Second Hand one I always research the Camera beforehand. I read a lot of reviews and watched a lot of videos on the Fuji X-E1 and the impression I got was that it is a great Camera with some very interesting features. Coming from a Film background the Camera felt great to hold, the unique way the shutter speeds are set by a dial on top along with the Exposure Compensation was a nice feature and really reminded me of my Film Cameras, the Film simulation filters are a great bonus and the low noise in low light works a treat, But what really blew me away was the Image Quality. I purchased just the Body and I use Manual Focus 35mm and Medium Format Film Lenses with it and the sharpness and quality of the Images I am getting from the X-E1 are really amazing, the X-E1 will be my GOTO Camera from now on and the price I paid for it Second Hand was a drop in the ocean to what I could be paying for a Camera that cost way more than what I paid for the X-E1. If you have not tried the X-E1 I would recommend it..Read full review

I have a Fujifilm 100s which I really like.I's a beautiful thing to use and the results are stunning. The only downside is the fixed lens. Feeling there were times when I wished I could get a little closer to the subject, I searched for something with a short zoom lens. With a limited budget I decided on this Fujifilm X-E!, which seemed to be the ideal solution. As this was the first used camera I've bought online I was a little concerned regarding the condition. However, it was delivered in the original box and packing, looking brand new, The photos I'm getting from the X-E1 are well up to the usual Fujifilm high standard, so I'm one happy customer.

I have the 'nap' hand of Fujifilm-X cameras after moving away from Nikon (except for high speed events - air shows etc). I have an x-100s - the perfect 'street' camera with it's fixed lens. I've two X-Pro-1 bodies (got one thrown in with a couple of lens purchases) and an X-T1 with it's superb EVF finder. However sometimes you want something you can just put a small zoom lens on and take anywhere - something light, like the X-100's with a viewfinder and a choice of lenses. My second -hand X-E1 is brilliant - it's only fault is a lack of weather proofing but it has been out in some bad weather and still performs. It has the same processor as the more expensive X-'s (apart from the X-Pro-2) and with the advent of the X-E2 the techies have unloaded their X-E1's. A superb travel camera and at prices now that won't break the bank.Read full review

The build quality of the XE-1 is excellent being on a par with Canon professional cameras apart from weather sealing . Controls well placed and not over complicated . I purchased it over other makes because it had a built in viewfinder although of course it is electronic. The one weak point is the autofocus. It can have problems'settling'. It depends on the type of photography you do as to whether this is a problem. Nice size body and enough weight to sit comfortably in the hand/hands, but still small enough for a coat pocket. I use the FFL lenses.
