I used to work as a mechanic over 10 years ago and we didn't have these back then, we didn't even have smartphones! I lost my expensive and large OBD scanner and was looking for another one because I've just been paying garages (at least £30 each time!) to scan for the codes so when I found this at this price I thought why not give it a go? I have tested this little device on many cars and it's saved me an absolute fortune, the app is great too! Anyone who has a car with an OBD2 port should have one, it gives you so much info about the car and if you have any problems or the engine light comes on this will save you loads of money rather than having a garage read the codes for what could be a simple fix. The full 5 stars from me! Ok bit of kit for basic info but a pain to set up with android software, most folks would give up..A fault code guide would have been usefull so you knew what the fault codes actually mean not a big ask,however sold at a good price point

Very hand tool, simple to use works very well indeed. I had a engine light come on my VW just before the weekend.. exhaust gas, stuck in the city to long.
