If you get a chance to buy one of these, then do it now, while they are reasonable priced, there are others in this design and features (the Elan series, the 50 and 50e). I've had my EOS 50e, see photos, (bought on ebay) for a while now, it's a dream to use, beautifully engineered, and has a soul that no digital camera has. If you're getting back into film, and many are, the Elans, 50, 50e, 30,or 33 models are gems. Highly recommended. Oh, recommend you buy the battery grip (as I have), so you can use AA or rechargeables batteries, (recommend Eneloop)

Although graduating to digital photography through an EOS 350D DSLR to my current 7D DSLR, I never lost the thrill of hearing the wind-on motor and subsequent prints produced by a film camera. With a modest collection of those iconic film cameras I can afford, together with my Pentax ME Super SLR, I wanted a modern film camera, easy to use as a Canon EOS 3 I once owned, but lighter. My purchase of a Canon EOS 30, together with a value for money EF 28-90 lens purchased at the same time, fits the bill totally!
one of the last examples of SLR which are still around . The camera is very good quality with amazing AF system which you control with your eye . It was definitely on the enthusiast level shelf rather than a professional photographer just because of the body . Alloy - magnesium construction will definitely raise class up to the top notch cameras from Canon .
