Had a Dewalt tabletop bandsaw years ago. This is just as good. Apart from the well-used packaging, you would think it was brand new. No evidence of use and well packed and presented Table fiddly to set up, but not a royal pain. Blade set up accurately, on-off switches positive. First piece of wood I cut was 4 x 4 fencepost which the blade cut through accurately. Second was a 22mm piece of oak which it coped with easily with some scrolling. Dust vent fits my workshop extractor.

other than the most perculiar two door knobs [knob just spins, you use a screwdriver to turn !!!!] and the AWFULL 3pin/euro plug which is huge & doesn't fit many of my workshop sockets [a silverline unit I always have to change --TOO BIG !!!!] I am well pleased, indeed. Silverline tools [I've many] compare well with Clarke [main competitor] have a very good guarantee and sensible pricing. THIS bandsaw was very easy to set up on the bench [I bolted it down] adjusts and runs well. Much faster & far more accurate & square cut than a jigsaw, simple to "plug in" a workshop vacuum to collect dust, quiet & smooth operation. I bought spare blades [not yet used] but fitment appears obvious & straightforward [it came with blade in place & worked right off so well set up in the factory - well done !] obviously table size [between blade & post] limits use of any bandsaw; on this one quite large for an inexpensive machine. There are quite a few Band Saws to choose from in the lower cost range ,my experience of the Silverline 190mm 350w is a pleasant one . I think some people are not realistic in what their buying in so far as they buy a machine at the lower price range but expect to put it to almost industrial use . This is a small Band Saw (although still quite heavy ) , for smaller jobs ie smaller DIY projects and modelling etc i have found it does an excellent job . I am cutting wood 40-50mm thick and it copes very well if you take your time and do not force the wood through the blade at a pace it can,t cope with . I am still using the original blade that comes with the machine which handles curves no problem ,i read other reviews saying that its best to change the blade for a narrower one ,so i bought one but its still in its packaging as the original blades works fine . All in ,i paid £104 for it which is a bargain i think ....and i am glad i bought it , Happy Cutting .Read full review

first impression-well done, of course need some setup, the table is not flat and around the cutout for the band saw is+1 mm, I think, that is too thin surface of the table and there are small deformations, so need some sanding, after all the cutting with the fence- accuracy is +-0,05 mm. Not noisy, I am very satisfied, it is very useful thing for the small shop.
