I bought this as a present for an adult HP fan and can only comment on their reaction to it - they love it! Apparently, the pieces are weightier than they appear, so they sit nicely on the board. They also have it on display when not using it to play with. I was unsure about the "good value" question - it seems rather expensive, so I was glad that the person receiving it rated it so highly!
