Enjoyable read with excitement, anger,murder, intrigue and action.
I have just finished reading this one, a few twists and turns in this story but all comes to make sense as you get further in, the sighting of an old enemy that he thought was dead starts him searching for answers and when he is reported to one of america's security agencies the fun starts, coersed into helping them he goes under cover to find a missing female agent, after the attempted kidnap of a student(set up by Reacher and the agents when Reacher supposedly kills a cop), He rescues the student to gain access to the home of his father who is a supposed carpet/rug importer which is thought to be a cover for drugs and is one of the main men under investigation, achieving his aim he reports to "his team leader" (another good looking woman)by using a small e-mail device which is hidden in ... I have just finished reading this one, a few twists and turns in this story but all comes to make sense as you get further in, the sighting of an old enemy that he thought was dead starts him searching for answers and when he is reported to one of america's security agencies the fun starts, coersed into helping them he goes under cover to find a missing female agent, after the attempted kidnap of a student(set up by Reacher and the agents when Reacher supposedly kills a cop), He rescues the student to gain access to the home of his father who is a supposed carpet/rug importer which is thought to be a cover for drugs and is one of the main men under investigation, achieving his aim he reports to "his team leader" (another good looking woman)by using a small e-mail device which is hidden in his shoe heel,with guile and guts he starts searching but the missing agent is not there, he gains the confidence of the man at the top and starts to sort things out, it is thought that the kidnap was attempted by a drug dealer and Reacher is question on the type of weapons used, he answered and then the subject was not mentioned til later on, he is asked if he can drive a truck and is told to take a truck to a destination and swap it with another truck and come back, while on route he stops at a service area to meet the agents, they search it and find a tracker, they also break the seal on the back search with a sniffer dog but find nothing, he does the same on the return trip with the same result, he finishes his journey and returns to the house, Reacher becomes part of the security team and goes with them to a warehouse, the head of security doesn't trust him and locks him in his room at night, the gate man makes Reacher look small but this is caused by steroid usage, the gate man is an impotent abuser and bully , with a set up ambush Reacher kills the head of security and the Boss believes his story and he gets promoted to head of security, He keeps searching and later finds out that it is not drugs but arms that are being trafficked, the agents discuss forgetting about this operation but decide to carry on even if they do get into trouble as they want to save thier fellow agent and friend, with stealth and cunning they work with Reacher to find her and the top man who has managed to stay in the background so far, a car turns up at the house and he is asked to assist the driver with a bodybag and he can't help himself and unzips it and recognises the housemaid and the handywork of her mutilated body, this reminded him of the man that saupposed to be dead as the mutilation was the same as he had used on one of Reachers staff when he was still in the military police, he is almost sick that someone has done this but zips it back up and helps the driver to throw it into the sea, he carrie on with his own investigation and finds where the arms are stored and that the missing agent is being sold as part of the arms consignment, he meets the agents and they enter the storage facility and find the weapons, there are rifles, rocket launchers and shotguns, the shotgun name gives us the title of this book "PERSUADER", it all ends with Reacher fighting the gate man which is a very hard fight and well described, saving the female agent, killing the bad guys and saving the wife and son it is action right to the end, ps, he gets to sleep with a beautiful woman again,,, all in all a good read.

I'm on a mission to read all the Jack Reacher books by the end of 2019....this is the eleventh and is a cracker....they all seem to be of a high standard but this one is a "stand out".
