It is much cheapper than any Nikon camera, makes good picture quality. But- you must use a very good quality Batteries. At the start i thoguht it is the camera defect- but a new set of Enercon, made the job right, although the Nikon D7000 has a much longer battery power compared this camera. Never use a regular cheap batteries if you gonna buy such . to save the battery power i use a manual focus, and mauve the VR to the off position too.

Excellent picture quality, colours especially skin tones true to life . Downsides auto focus , write speeds to cards and battery life not great especially with alkaline batteries requires good quality rechargeable batteries. But all these are minor problems it is enjoyable to use and takes great pictures .

This camera is a great one. I bought this product as an upgrade from the fuji s1 pro, to go in my kit along side a Nikon d3100. This camera uses Nikon lenses and almost all of them work great with it, with autofocus lenses working great too! The camera feels nice to hold and shoot with. The picture quality is superb, being a 6 megapixel which, by using the super CCD is improved to 12 megapixels, and the final output is great quality, and you can zoom in so much further than any other camera of its level. Fuji have done an excellent job at placing the controls, as they are in a place which feels natural to use. There's not much that I do not like about this camera, if anything I would say that it is slightly disappointing that it only uses AA batteries, but if, like me, you use a quality set of rechargeable AA batteries, and have a spare battery tray in your gear bag, then this is more than sufficient. Another downside is it's incompatibility of flash guns, being only fully compatible with one Nikon flash. However, the third party flash that I use is mostly used off camera, and in manual mode, so therefore this is not a great problem for me.Read full review
Built like a tank and comfortable to use it is handy using only 4 AA batteries and works with all my nikon lenses it has a wider dynamic range than my other cameras better shadow and highlight detail the landscape and portrait releases built in is a handy feature my example is in mint condition I have never seen such a clean sensor on an old camera my only complaints are the lcd screen is very small and the camera is quite heavy to carry around. Produces very good quality photos in RAW mode and jpg mode
Excellent Camera for landscape and nature foto taking. The colors and saturation and sharpness in my opinion are much better than those of the more recent DSLRS that even go over the 20 MP count. The only drawback that this camera has is the low mp count and the fact that it is slow to use. For studio work, portraits, flower photography and nature photography were speed is not an issue the results can be fantastic and can be easily blown up to 10x8 prints and gallery work. This camera works very well with the old film generation nikon lenses!
