I wanted a lens to take everyday pictures and pictures of my son playing football in his team. This lens is an all rounder. The photos are fab, clear and sharp.

This was described as ex-demo but appeared absolutely new. It arrived well packaged and very quick service. All original packaging and wrapping plus I was able to register the extended guarantee with Tamron as though it was new. I already have same lens on another camera so knew what to expect and it works perfectly. All in all this has proved to be an excellent buy

This lens is sharp from back to front ie ( 18mm to 270mm)it focudses quickly and its image stabilisation system is quiet and effective. For a general walkabout lens. I can highly reccomend it. As well as being value for money.
Bought this lens to use with my Canon 60D when travelling, as most of my holidays are to hot climates and beach resorts I wanted a lens I could leave on the camera that would cover most eventualities. The range of this le s give its size a weight are staggering the af is fairly quick and the image stabilisation is decent. The lens takes good quality pictures however it is a little soft at the extreme ends of its zoom range but no worse than the kit Canon 18-55 or 55-250 that this effectively replaces. A very worthwhile addition to anyones kit bag in all honesty this has become my standard walk around lens now, as it covers the vast majority of situations that I photograph highly recommended.
Don't buy from a foreign trader on Ebay as you could get stung for additional import taxes (£41 in my case) which makes the savings disappear!
